Economic times are tough right now, and we at Trout's Fly Fishing recognize that our customers want to stretch every dollar they have as far as possible. So we wanted to be completely transparent and let all of our customers know how we price the product you see in our store or on our website.
Items WITH a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) - a lot of items that we stock are strickly regulated by the manufacturer to MSRP pricing. Put simply, we are not allowed to price certain items below the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price. This includes products like Rods, Reels, Waders, Boots, Fly Lines, Leaders, Tippets, etc. So what does this mean for our customers? There's no need to shop around. The item your searching for is going to cost the same at Trout's Fly Fishing then it will at any other shop acrosse the country.
Items WITHOUT a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) - so when it comes to items like flies, tying materials, books, etc., many people wonder how we come to our prices. First, we shop the competition. We strive to match all of our competitiors prices, and often times be 5%-10% lower. If you find an item from another fly shop that is lower than ours, we'll be happy to match their price (see our Price Match Guarentee below). If we carry an item that our competition doesn't, we try and price it at a level that is fair to both the customer and our fly shop (remember that we are unfortunetally trying to run a business, so we do need to make a little money)
Discounts - being a specialty fly shop in this economy does have it's drawbacks, the most prevelant being that we cannot affoard to offer discounts on the products we sell. This is not because we don't want to; trust us, we understand full well the kind of deals that exist on the internet today. This policy is in place because we cannot afford to discount our products and stay in business. But we will make a pledge to you, that what we may lack in door buster deals we will certainly make up in Customer Service. For over 15 years, Trout's Fly Fishing has been providing the best customer service possible, and we do not intend to stop any time soon.
We want our customers to be 100% satisfied with every purchase they make from Trout's Fly Fishing. Trouts' Fly Fishing offers a 30 day return policy on all items that are unused and in brand new condition. Simply return your item to us in its original packaging with a copy of your receipt for an exchange or refund. Items that are returned beyond 30 days or that do not have the original reciept will be eligable for Store Credit only. Items returned without its original packaging and tags are not eligable for return. This policy applies to all products we sell with the exception fly tying materials, terminal tackle (leaders, tippets, weights, floatants, indicators, etc.) sale items and special orders. In those instances where a special order is an issue, we will do whatever we can on this end, working with our vendor, to resolve the problem.

All sales on sale items are final. If you purchases an item that then goes on sale within 2 weeks, we will refund you the difference in cost so long as you have a valid sales receipt.
