  • Mark Lance Fly Fishing and Photography Presentation

    Trouts Fly Fishing is excited to announce that Mark Lance will be stopping by the shop on Thursday March 13th from 6-7pm to give our customers a slide showpresentation and photography clinic. Mark will be showing a slide show about llama trekking for Colorado River and Rio Grande cutthroats in the Weminuche Wilderness and also talking about some of the photography techniques he used to shoot the images.  This is a free presentation here at the shop and a must-see-event if you have an interest in back country fly fishing and photography.

    About Mark Lance: Mark Lance is a freelance photographer and writer based in Centennial, Colorado. His fly fishing photography is published widely across the industry including the Drake Magazine, The Flyfish Journal, Fly Rod & Reel, Field & Stream, Outside Magazine and many others.  Mark spends time exploring the globe in search of fins, good light, defining moments, and a compelling story.  Mark is on the pro staff for Scott Fly Rods, Hatch Outdoors and Hyde drift boats.

  • Casting & Cocktails August 21st

    Join Trouts Fly Fishing and Winston for our legendary Casting & Cocktails Event.  This FREE casting clinic will be held in Washington Park from 5:00-7:00pm on the Southeast corner of the park right at the intersection of Louisiana and Gilpin.  This is a fun event that is geared to help improve your fishing knowledge and skills with the sole purpose of getting you into more fish.  This is also a great event if you are a novice fly angler or if you have never had a chance to cast a fly rod before. 

    Here’s what we bring - a quiver of premium Winston Fly Rods and a massive Yeti cooler filled with ice.

    Here’s what you bring - a desire to learn how to fly cast or improve your current casting skills... and BYO canned B (be aware, Park regulations state beer needs to be 3.2%).

  • On-Stream Beginner Fly Fishing School - August 23

    1 Day - $195.00/person – limited to six (6) participants (full day)

    This is a one-day fishing school on one of our world-class Exclusive Properties - the Rowdy Trout Ranch. Students will learn the basics of fly fishing including casting, reading water, entomology, and fly selection.  This class is limited to six anglers so reserve your spot early.  Fishing this section of the North Fork of the South Platte River should be excellent this time of year.  To make your reservation for this class and to enjoy a day on the water with Trouts Guide Service call the shop at 303.733.1434.
