We just received this report from Chris S. who we first met back in January. “I just returned today from Christmas Island ... it was incredible,” said Chris. “Giant trevally, big bones, all kinds of other species ... including a Barracuda!”
When you travel internationally to go fly fishing, things don’t always go as planned. Actually, I take that back. Most of the time something, somewhere, somehow… things manage to go awry. It actually makes sense. You are going somewhere new, fishing for a new species, making tight connections, using new gear and exploring new water. Sometimes… sXit just happens.
We’re starting to see signs of spring fly conditions here in Colorado – albeit sporadically. One day, we’ll be in shirt sleeves with the sun shining and the next in down jackets with snow flying. It is after all Colorado and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

But still… it felt a lot like hooky.
