The Fryingpan River in late May Late spring is always a dynamic time of year here in Colorado.  From a weather perspective, you never know what you are going to get when you head outdoors – especially up in the mountains. The good news is that there are almost always great fishing opportunities if you want to find them.

May Fishing Report: Bear Creek

Flows are currently rising on bear creek with current flows above 115.  When I started fishing the creek on Sunday the water was at 100 cfs around 3:00 PM and slowly dropped to 94 cfs as I was leaving around 7:00 PM. Water clarity was a little murky when I first started but appeared to improve as the afternoon continued.
