South Platte River Clean Up: April 26th

Join our pals at Denver Trout Unlimited as they clean up the South Platte River here in Denver this Saturday April 26th at 7:00am.  Bring your boots, waders, and a sturdy pair of work gloves.  They will be cleaning up trash and debris both from the river bank and from the river bottom where it is possible.  Here’s the DTU game plan for Saturday morning.

Trouts Guide Service Report: The South Platte River

The main stem of the South Platte River continues to fish extremely well.  The stream flows from below Cheesman Canyon have been fluctuating but the fishing has been consistent.  Trouts Guide Service has been out on the water quite a bit throughout the month of April and the early spring conditions have been great.  Here is a quick account from a few of our recent client trips.

Video Spotlight: Cuda Quickie

We spent quite a bit of time getting prepared for barracuda before we left for our trip to South Andros Island (you can check out our how-to  'cuda rig videos on our blog as well).  Once we were there, we spent more time stalking these aggressive fish on the flats - both on foot and from the boat.  It took a little while to crack the code, but we were finally able to connect.
