Hang ‘em high and dry The stone flies started popping and suddenly it looked as if the sky was full of small helicopters. I dug into my box and pulled out the biggest stone imitation I could find and fished around for my floatant. The good news is that I had a couple of stimulator patterns that would do the trick; the bad news is that I had left my floatant in another pack.

Trout’s had a chance to fish a few headwater creeks with Aaron Kindle, who works on the Sportsmen’s Conservation Project for Trout Unlimited. Aaron is a fishy guy and is also leading the charge to protect fish species and habitat here in Colorado.
