We fished the Gold Medal water section of the South Platte River on Wednesday May 8th.  The weather was dynamic – we had periods of sun, sporadic cloud cover, thunder showers, followed by a steady drizzle of rain – AKA – great spring fishing conditions.  The stream flow near Trumbull was right around 130 CFS.  For the month of May, the water has been bumping back and forth between ~89 CFS and ~130 and the river has been fishing great.  We started the...

Last week brought a mixed bag of weather to the Front Range of Colorado.  We fished in blizzard conditions in the South Platte Drainage on Wednesday May 1st but by Friday May 3rd the weather near Deckers was back in the 50s and the sun was out.
