Trouts Guide Service can supply boots, waders, rods, reels, and terminal tackle if needed – or, you can bring your own equipment. A good strategy to stay warm – and cool – is to use layers when fishing in the spring, fall or winter months. Polypropylene tops and bottoms are a great base layer. Using a “layered” strategy is also a good idea as you can add or remove clothing as the weather changes. You should always be prepared with a dependable rain shell or GORETEX shell. Don’t forget to bring a pair polarized sunglasses. Many times, you will have the opportunity to see fish as they swim and feed in the water and polarized sunglasses makes seeing fish through the glare much more effective. Sunscreen and a baseball hat is a great way to help keep the sun out of your face and eyes.

8) What is an appropriate tip for a day of guided fly fishing? A gratuity for a guided trip is optional based on the service you receive and your level of satisfaction with the trip. That said, and industry standard is a 20% tip/gratuity.
9) What additional costs should I expect? Trouts Guide Service is an all inclusive fly fishing service provider. The only costs that are NOT included are a) cost of your Colorado Fishing License b) the gratuity that you choose to pay your guide. All other items like flies, tippet, leaders, rods, reels, lunch etc. are included in the trip cost.
