Adventure Travel and Fly Fishing with Kirk Deeter

November 1, 6:00-7:30pm

Where: Trout’s Fly Fishing (1303 East 6th Avenue, Denver)

Trout’s Fly Fishing is pumped to have Kirk Deeter join us for an evening to talk about what he does best – traveling to remote locations, chasing exotic species, and fly fishing.  Kirk Deeter is an editor-at-large for Field & Stream and also the editor of “fsflytalk.com,” Field & Stream’s flyfishing weblog.

Deeter’s feature on mako shark fishing, “Fly Fishing Gone Mad,” earned him “Excellence in Craft” honors for the best magazine feature on fishing from the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA). Kirk has also written for the Associated Press, London’s Daily Telegraph, SaltWater Sportsman, Wild on the Fly, Fly Fisherman, Big Sky Journal, and 5280 magazine. He is editor-in-chief of Angling Trade magazine.

His books (co-authored with Andrew Steketee) Castwork, and Tideline (both Willow Creek Press), received positive acclaim from Men’s Journal, Outside, the New York Times, and Hooked on the Outdoors, among other publications. His fishing travels have taken him from the tundra in Alaska to the Andes in Chile, from the flats of Belize, to the rips and shoals of New England’s coast.

Trout’s is eager to see what Kirk has up his sleeve and we know that you will get a kick out of this presentation here at the shop.  As always, if you have any fishing, gear or travel related questions, feel free to stop by the shop or give us a call.  We're here to help.
