Trout's is always trying to stay on the cutting edge of fly fishing products, as we want to make sure we're offering our customers the latest and greatest they fly fishing industry has to offer.  That is why I am pleased to announce that Trout's is now Denver's only dealer of the full line of Freedom Hawk Fishing Kayaks.  While they may not be new to fly fishing, they have been gaining popularity with fly and conventional anglers for their ease of use, stability, and overall performance.

Trout Bum Trips 2011 | Roaring Fork River, August 6-7

The Roaring Fork River is undoubtedly one of the finest freestone rivers in the state of Colorado, and being a short 3 hour drive from Denver, is a great stop for our 2011 Trout Bum Trip schedule.  We've teamed up with Taylor Creek Fly Shop in Basalt, CO to offer our customers 2 days of float fishing down the Roaring Fork.  Early August is consistently a prime time for float fishing this river, as the abundant bug life and active trout make for prime conditions.  But hey, why don't we hear it from the man himself.  Here's what Taylor Creek General Mananger Will Sands has to say about what we can expect the fishing conditions in August to be like:

We are anticipating excellent conditions for floating the Roaring Fork this coming August. We are very fortunate that when many other western freestones are low, a bit too warm and often prove difficult or technical to fish in August that the "Fork" remains very fishy throughout the month.

Gear Review: Waterworks Ketchum Release

July 7, 2011

Gone are the days when that fish slips through your hands as your go to unhook it, only to speed off in an attempt to give you a "taste of your own medicine" the form of digging your dropper into your hand!  We've all been there...painful.
