The summer monsoon season has given much of Colorado a break with cooler weather and sporadic rain events across the state.  This is good news as it has dropped the water temperatures in many of the more popular rivers.

Dam fed tailwaters will continue to be great fly fishing options and the South Platte River near Deckers proves to be no exception. We’ve had a number of guided fly fishing trips on the South Platte River over the past week and here are a few of the highlights.

Evan Lichtenfels’ Open @ Lake Carol Anne - August 2nd

Evan Lichtenfels' Open @ Lake Carol Anne - August 2nd

Trouts Fly Fishing would like to invite all of our customers and friends to the Evan Lichtenfels' Open @ Lake Carol Anne this coming Friday August 2 at 5:00pm.  This event is a way to connect with fellow anglers and friends to raise funds and honor Evan Lichtenfels. The event at Lake Carol Anne will include: dinner, beer, appearances from the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, fishing, silent auction, games, fish tales, fellowship and a night of fun.  Fishing the lake is also available for a $50 donation*. 

In addition to this memorial event, Trouts Fly Fishing would like to invite you to the shop on August 1st. Trouts Fly Fishing will be making a donation of sales proceeds directly to the Lichtenfels family.

Book Your Guided Fly Fishing Trip Today

Trouts Guide Service would like to thank all of our customers who have booked guided trips with us over the past few weeks.  We're having a great time getting our clients on the water and into fish.  We are at capacity this weekend but have openings for both private and public water trips beginning Monday July 29th.  As the season continues to pick up, we recommend that if you have interest in taking a trip with us in August or September, please book your trip as early as possible.  We want to make sure that we can accommodate all of our customers and give you the best experience fly fishing in Colorado.  For more information on fishing our exclusive properties CLICK HERE or check out our public water options
