One of the best features of this rod is the supple tip, which allows the rod to make short, accurate casts, and well as enabling the rod to roll cast and mend with ease. In a 9' length, I found that this rod could handle any situation.

Normally I would fish an 8-weight primarily for permit and tarpon, yet due to the weather I found my self using this rod for everything I fished for that week. In the end I was very pleased with the way this rod performed, and have since found myself suggesting to all customers that they give this rod a try for any salt water trip.

This rod truly is the all-around, go-to rod. It works great from the banks and when chucking streamers from the boat.

I had the opportunity to test this reel on a ton of 10lb + fish in the past few weeks (in January mind you!!!) in both fresh and saltwater, and it performed flawlessly.
