This is part two of a three part introduction to travel in the Pacific Northwest that we covered here at the shop in early October. The Klickitat River is located in Southern Washington and runs from near the base of Mount Adams to the Columbia River. It is also a great river to begin your steelhead journey if you are new to this hard fighting species.
We’ve had a number of people who missed our introduction to Steelhead presentation earlier this month inquire if we could make some of the information available. No problem - it is primetime steelhead season in the Pacifc Northwest. We’ll break it up into a three part series. We’ll first talk about steelhead basics and the Deschutes River in Oregon. In Part II we’ll cover the Klickitat River and Part III we’ll provide and introductory overview of the Olympic Peninsula. We hope you enjoy the information and the photography.
Fall fishing is here and the streamer fishing is picking up in Colorado. Big fish are starting to bulk up for the winter and chasing down big meals... aggressively. We decided it was a good idea to talk a little about streamer fishing.
