Out of the box I will say that the Vanquish is one of the hottest reels I have ever seen. I have never been one for the tricked out machined reel, but there is just something about the Vanquish that still catches my eye.
Well this spring is turning out to be just as unpredictable weather wise as we've seen in past years. With rain and snow in the forecast for most of the state for the next two days, things are definitely going to get interesting here through the rest of May. The Denver Front Range is in dire need of any 
precipitation, so this rain in my opinion is a much welcome surprise. In the mountains, weather forecasts indicate that we will see rain/snow at lower elevations, with snow most likely above 10,000 ft. So what does this mean for our runoff? Well, we'll have a lot more snow to get rid of before rivers subside to fishable levels.
The blessing in disguise is that these cold daytime and nightime temperatures will dramatically slow the snowmelt, and we should see river levels level off or drop through most of the states river basins. As of this morning, most of the rivers throughout Colorado (exluding tailwaters) have begun to level off, and I would imagine that their flows will start to drop throughout today.
