TROUTS SPOTLIGHT: MOUNTAIN KHAKIS

August 26, 2013
Author: Will Rice

Mountain Khakis originated in Jackson Hole Wyoming in 2003 and they have been on a wild ride ever since.  The next time you stop in the shop here in Denver, you are going to find a whole array of Mountain Khakis pants, shirts, and lifestyle clothing that we’re really proud to carry.  We’ve worn and product-tested this stuff and we believe you are going to be as satisfied with the results as we are.

Trouts Fly Fishing had a chance to sit down and talk with Noah Robertson who is Co-Founder and Director of Product Development at Mountain Khakis.  We talked about technology, research and design, product durability… and most importantly, fly fishing.

TROUTS SPOTLIGHT - THE WCR RANCH

July 16, 2013
Author: Will Rice

The WCR Ranch is located on a small tributary of the upper Colorado River, approximately 35 miles in length. The creek rises in northwestern Grand County, in the Arapaho National Forest at the top of the continental divide and flows southeast toward the Colorado River. The WCR Ranch is home to Lodgepole and Ponderosa Pines, Douglas-Firs, and Aspen stands.  The creek itself meanders through a wide-open meadow closely cropped with willows, cut banks, and a variety of alpine wildflowers.  Surrounding the creek are majestic peaks that reach elevations of 12,000ft and higher.  The WCR Ranch is truly a wild place.
