Get Involved With the Denver South Platte!

April 22, 2013
Author: Will Rice

There are two great opportunities for Denver fly anglers this week.  The first is Denver Trout Unlimited’s member meeting that is being held tomorrow (April 23) at 6:00pm at the REI Flagship Store.  The key note speaker will be the always insightful and entertaining Kirk Deeter.  Details below:

April DTU Meeting

Kirk Deeter - On Carp, recent travels, destination fishing, and exotic species.

When: Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Time: Come at 6:30pm

Program at: 7:00pm

Where: REI Denver Flagship Store, 4th Floor, 1416 Platte Street, Denver, CO

The second event you should check out is the Denver South Platte Riversweep being held on Saturday April 27th.  This is a great way to explore the Denver South Platte, meet other folks who are interested in fly fishing the DSP and a great way to give back to the river if you are already fish here.  DTU members and those who want to participate should show up in waders with gloves to do in-stream cleanup near Fishback Landing Park (950 Water St) 8:00AM to Noon. It's too late to register for the free lunch but it's never to late to cleanup the Denver South Platte.
