JUNE 2013
CUSTOMER EVENTS AND EDUCATION SCHEDULE

Learn the Basics - June 6

6-7pm - $25 (but… receive a $25 Trouts gift card)

The goal of this class is to instill a basic understanding of fly fishing gear, equipment, and essentials to prepare first time anglers for a day on the water.  If you or someone you know has been on the fence and thinking about giving fly fishing a try, this class provides a great baseline and foundation.  Limited to six (6) participants.

Fish Local – With Kerry Caraghar - June 13

1 night only - $0/person

Come join Denver angler and long time Orvis guru Kerry Caraghar on the second floor of the shop for an intimate evening where he will give you an inside look at dynamite fishing options close to the Mile High City.  Kerry will share tips and advice to help you fish rivers like Clear Creek, Bear Creek, and sections of the South Platte River more effectively.

On-Stream Beginner Fly Fishing School - June 15

1 Day - $195.00/person – limited to six (6) participants

This is a one day fishing school on one of our world-class private properties. Students will learn the basics of fly fishing including casting, reading water, entomology, and fly selection.  This class is limited to six anglers so reserve your spot early.  Fishing this section of the North Fork of the South Platte River should be excellent in June.

The “303 Shootout” and Casting & Cocktails - June 20

Sign up for our first casting competition of the summer.  Twelve local anglers will face off in Washington Park for a shot to win a brand new St. Croix Avid 5wt fly rod.  Signing up for the “303 Shootout” is first-come-first-serve here in the shop.  In addition to the casting competition, we will have a number of different St. Croix fly rods on hand to test.  This is a great opportunity for anglers of all skill levels to cast different fly rods and get expert advice.

Hosted Float Trip on the Eagle River - June 22

One Day Only - $225 (per person or $450 per boat for two anglers) – limited to six (6) anglers

Join Tucker Ladd and the guys from Vail Valley Anglers for a one day guided float on the Eagle River in Vail Valley during prime time.  If you have never fished or floated the Eagle before this is a great opportunity to explore this unique fishery with a group of guides who know the river like the back of their hands.  This trip is limited to six anglers so sign up quick if you are interested.

Hopper Madness - Tying Grasshopper Patterns - June 27

1 Night Only - $50/Person  - 6:00pm-8:00pm

Designed to expand fly tier’s ability to create effective grasshopper patterns in anticipation of the amazing grasshopper fishing we should see in July and August.   We keep our tying classes small – Hopper Madness is limited to six (6) participants.
