Ask a Gear Head: Sponsored by Simms - September 12 - 2:00-4:00pm (online event)
Do you have a burning gear or fishing related question that you need answered? Or... are you interested in winning a Simms Fall Run Jacket? Do you want to connect with a subject matter expert from Simms to ask questions about the new line? All three?
We thought you might. Here is the deal: starting at 2:0pm MST on Wednesday September 12 you can join the Trout’s Fly Fishing FaceBook page and ask Rich Hohne from Simms and/our staff any fishing related question you might have by posting it on our wall. Simms and Trout’s will respond to your questions real time for two hours. Nothing is off limits - any question under the sun is fair game.
The angler with the most “compelling” (definition TBD) question at the end of the two hour session will win a brand spankin’ new Fall Run Jacket. The prize will be announced immediately after the event at 4:00 sharp on September 12, 2012.
At Trout's, we get a ton of interesting and fun questions everyday in the shop. We want to provide that same type of service and real time resource for our customers online.
Casting & Cocktails Anyone? September 20th - 5:00-7:00pm (Washington Park)
Here's what you bring - a good sense of humor and a desire to learn how to fly cast or improve your current casting skills... and BYOB.
Here's what we bring - a quiver of Scott A4s and a massive Yeti cooler filled with ice.
Here's where/when we bring it: South East Corner of Washington Park (Louisiana and Gilpin). If you are on the fence here are a few questions to ponder:
- Do you want to get the feel of a fly rod for the first time and learn the basic mechanics of fly casting?
- Do you want to learn how to double haul, increase your line speed and punch your casts through the wind?
- Do you want to know the secret to dropping eighty foot bombs for your next saltwater trip this fall or winter?
Customer Appreciation Day - September 27 - 4:00pm-7:00pm (the Shop - 1303 E. 6th Avenue)
Do you like good beer? So do we. Trout's Fly Fishing knows that you have a lot of options when it comes to making your gear purchases and we appreciate your business. We appreciate it so much so that we're bringing in Dry Dock Brewery to give a complimentary beer tasting session. As an added bonus, we'll be serving brats and burgers. In addition to this, we'll have product specialists in from Simms, fishpond, Scott, and Costa in da house to answer questions and demo new gear. Stay tuned for additional details as the big day approaches.
