The Denver Angling Community is cursed blessed every January when The Fly Fishing Show and The International Sportmen's Expo (ISE) converge on Denver, all in the same weekend.  We're not going to waste time pretending that this is an ideal situation, nor are we going to delve into our personal feelings about two competing consumer fly fishing shows.  Instead, we're going to offer a simple list of why you, as a consumer, should plan on spending a day (or two) at this year's 2012 International Sportsmen's Expo.

FOR THE ANGLER:

1.  Trou'ts Fly Fishing will be there, Booth R747.  We'll be offering amazing daily show specials on a variety of fly fishing goods, but you have to be in attendance.  In addition, we're going to refund the $15 entry fee for anybody who purchases $100 or more at our booth!

Tucker,
We at the Fly Fishing Show do not believe there are two competing fly fishing shows in the Denver area.  One is a sportsmans show and the other a fly fishing show.  We feel there is a need for both shows and wish 100% success to the ISE show and those exhibiting.  The Fly Fishing Show is on the same dates it has had since it’s start in Denver and ISE had recently moved its dates to the same weekend.  That said, if you choose to make your reasons for attending ISE more of a comparison, I would like you to have your facts correct.

The Fly Fishing Show will have over 140 exhibitors covering more than 200 booth spaces.  In review of the ISE listing of exhibitors, there are less than 45 fly fishing exhibitors of which several will be at both shows and this includes an large percentage of fishing lodges.  Every booth at the Fly Fishing Show is in the fly fishing business.

The Fly Fishing Show has Adventure Theater, Destination Theater, the Catch Room, and the Release Room as well as the Author’s Booth and Featured Fly Tier delivering over 175 fly fishing presentations plus over 40 demonstration fly tiers at any given time.  Celebrities such as AK Best, Gary Borger, Charlie Craven, Jeff Currier, George Daniel, Bill Edrington, Ed Engle, John Gierach, Rick Hafele, Dave Hughes, Steve Rajeff, Steve Schweitzer, Jim Schollmeyer, Rick Takahashi, Dave Whitlock, and many more will be speaking.

At the Fly Fishing Show, there are chances to win over $30,000.00 in fly fishing door prizes.

Feel free to ask us about any information related to the Fly Fishing Show.  We hope the sportsman’s show is a success for you.
