Trip Report | Front Range Bass
Author: Trout's Staff
Took the day off from work and headed to a local Bass pond. Haven't had my pontoon boat out in a while, so I was eager to get on the water.

The Bass pond, definitely not the most scenic spot to fish, but I guess it's what's underneath that counts.

Didn't take long for to bring in the first fish of the day. Wasn't anything to write home about, but I'll take it.

I quickly found a few more of his friends

They were hitting a variety of flies

This was the most productive fly of the day

My rig for the day, a Sage TCX 790-4 fly rod, with a Lamson Litespeed #3. The fly line was an Airflo 440 Plus intermediate sink tip. The fly, an Enrico Puglisi EP Baifish Pattern. What won't this thing catch!

They started to get a little bit bigger in the afternoon. Not a bad way to end the day!

It was time to call it a day, but not after I got to enjoy a cold libation on the water.
