Trout’s Fly Fishing is kicking off our new guiding service and we want you to be a part of it. Join Barry Reynolds and crew for an in-depth tour of the Denver South Platte and surrounding fisheries on the Pink Bus and experience some of the best urban fly fishing in the West.
Who: only six (6) spots available
When: Saturday July 21st
The fishing: Barry Reynolds is developing a real-time urban carp fishing program the week of the event based on the fishing conditions. Two clients will be guided by a professional guide. We’ll also have a professional photographer riding shotgun to capture the action on the water.
Why: when was the last time you stalked a fish, hunted it down, made the cast, watched the eat and then watched your fly line melt away until all you had left was backing in your reel? When was the last time that happened to you in Colorado?
What you will talk and learn about on the trip:
- tactics and strategies to use for carp in a river environments
- how to find opportunities for carp in still water
- carp behavior and feeding habits
- how to read water and find fish
- increase your sight fishing success
- what fly patterns are most effective in different situations
- carp gear 101
- effective knots and rigging for carp
- how do adapt your strategies and tactics in dynamic conditions
How much: $250
What is included: the trip will include an estimated six hours of fishing (10am-4pm), lunch, non alcoholic beverages, and all terminal tackle (flies, leader and tippet)
What’s not included: Colorado fishing license and guide gratuity
Transportation: all six clients will ride together with their guides and hosts from Trout’s Fly Fishing in the Pink Bus (whose urban fishing exploits have been chronicled in the Drake Magazine, Field and Stream Fly Talk, Busterwantstofish.com and others publications)\
What time: we’ll meet up at 9:00am and get fishing around 10:00am; we will be off the water by 4:00pm
Where: the meet up/drop off point is St. Mark’s Coffee located at 2019 East 17th Avenue just east of downtown Denver. The cross streets are 17th Avenue and Race Street
