Are you more interested in promoting native fish? The Greenbacks are a group of young and passionate anglers that are hoping to make conservation fun and engaging while promoting and protecting cold-water fisheries.
Interested in both? Here are two events where we guarantee you will have some fun:
Event #1) Carp-A-Copia –Denver Trout Unlimited Social Event- Upstairs at the Skylark Lounge (FREE)
When: Tuesday, November 27, 7:00pm – 11:30pm
Where: The Skylark Lounge, 140 South Broadway, Denver, CO 80209 (map)
What: Come celebrate another astounding chapter social event upstairs at the Skylark Lounge- DTU GIVES THANKS TO YOU. The Carp-A-Copia is an everlasting symbol of thanks and Denver Trout Unlimited and the South Platte River would like to thank you for all your interest, support and hard work this year. Please join us for a night at the Skylark Lounge for a few free cocktails (early birds will get the worms), an update on the exciting new developments on the Denver South Platte, and a prelude to the hard work and fun we're going to have as a chapter in 2013.
Event #2) The Greenbacks present "Low & Clear" an award winning film (Tickets are $16.50 and can be purchased HERE)
When: Thursday, November 29, 6:00pm – 9:30pm
Where: The Oriental Theatre - 4335 W. 45th Ave, Denver (map)
What: “Low & Clear” is a documentary film by Tyler Hughen and Kahlil Hudson. During a winter flyfishing trip to Canada, two old friends, J.T. Van Zandt and Alex "Xenie" Hall, learn they've have grown apart in more ways than one. J.T., the thoughtful even-keeled son of a song writing legend believes there's more to fishing than catching fish. Short-tempered Xenie, a "firewood salesman," sees it differently and fishes like it's a race against the clock.
