Fly Fish 101 “Introduction to Fly Fishing”

Our Fly Fishing 101 Class covers all the fundamental basics of the sport of fly fishing. Great for those looking to get into the sport, this class takes place at the shop in our 3rd floor classroom. It will include subjects like fly fishing concepts, river reading, knot tying, and fly identification. This is a 3 session class that meets once of week for 2 hours. All participants will receive a punch card for 10% OFF 3 purchases at the shop.


Fly Fishing 102 - Learn to Fly Fish in One Day on Private Water

This is an all inclusive, 6-hour interactive workshop for beginner fly fishers. It includes 3 hours of classroom instruction, followed by 3 hours of on-stream fishing time. Classes will be held at the shop for the classroom section, and then will move to one of our many Blue Ribbon/Gold Medal trout streams. In this course, you will learn the basic concepts of fly fishing, fish identification, knot tying, river reading, as well as fighting and safely landing fish. We want to encourage participants to be self reliant, so you will be rigging your own rod, tying knots, casting, fighting and landing fish, all under the supervision of our expert instructor. All equipment will be provided to those who don’t have their own gear. Lunch and drinks served. Testimonials:


Fly Fish 201 “Fly Fishing Skills and Techniques”

This 7-hour course is an all-inclusive interactive workshop for novice and intermediate anglers. Classes are typically held on one of our many Blue Ribbon/Gold Medal trout streams located up and down the Front Range. This class incorporates a brief review of the basics, and then heads to the water where you will spend time practicing casting and general fly presentation. During the day, we will focus on a variety of fishing techniques including, dry fly fishing, nymph fishing, and streamer fishing. All equipment can be provided if necessary, but we recommend bringing your own as its always good to learn to fish with what you have. Lunch and drinks served.


Fly Fishing 301 - Advanced Dry Fly Fishing

This 7-hour workshop is great for novice through advanced fly fishers and is designed to increase your knowledge and ability to fish dry flies. This class covers topics such as trout habitat, entomology related to dry fly selection, different methods of rigging dry flies, casting and proper presentation. Classes will be held on one of our private ranch locations within an hour of the city.


Fly Fishing 401 - Colordo Nymph Fishing and Streamer Techniques

This 7-hour workshop is for novice through advanced anglers and is designed to increase your knowledge and ability to fish nymphs. Nymph fishing can be said to be the most effective way to catch feeding trout. The Nymph Fishing class will cover topics such as trout habitat, entomology related to nymph fishing, fly selection, casting, as well as proper presentation. We will show you how to set up and fish a 1, 2, and 3 fly rig, and discuss a variety of nymphing techniques that will drastically increase the number of fish you catch. Classes will be held at one of our private ranch locations within an hour of the city.


Kids Fishing Camp | Parents and Kids Learn to Fish

This course is designed for kids ages 7-15 and their parents. We get together and have fun through educational activities focused on fishing. Whether they are painting fish tee shirts, learning about different insects, tying knots, or learning to identify different fish, it will be fun and informative. The instructors will provide lunch and drinks. Space is limited so please book your reservation in advance.
