great shoes but not perfect.....! Review by GWest

I like to go wet-wading for trout during the summer but I don't like walking for very long with traditional wading boots so I gave these a shot. I wear a size 10 in tennis shoes so I bought these shoes in a 10½. It gave me just enough room to insert an after market insole and with a pair of ankle socks they fit perfectly. The shoes gave me a perfect fit even when wet and never did I feel my feet slipping around while wading. Now for the grip..... I fish mostly rock/boulder strewn creeks, and as one would expect, the soles were superb on dry rocks and were good on wet boulders as well. But there are some moss covered rocks that I don't think anything will grip to. Believe me, I've used felts, studs, cleats and now these...there are some rocks that are best avoided! I've succumbed to using wading stick and what a difference it makes. I haven't had these shoes long enough to comment on how durable they are but I did spend 4 days walking miles in and out creeks and they were the most comfortable wading shoes I've ever used. Be aware if you use them like I do, you have no ankle protection. that could be problem for some. Once you go lite on the wading shoes/boots....you never go back! (Posted on 7/22/2015)
