Trouthunter Fluorocarbon Tippet
After years of research and development on the water (rather than in the board room), Trouthunter is excited to offer the consumer what we believe to be the finest leaders and tippet material ever produced.
We did not set out to reinvent the wheel with our leader and tippet program, but rather to address some problems with terminal tackle that had cost us some very nice fish.
Each day that a leader or spool of nylon hangs unprotected in a fly shop, it is exposed to ultraviolet light and humidity, which quickly degrade the material’s strength. TroutHunter proudly alleviates this problem by protecting our leaders and tippet in U.V. resistant, waterproof packaging.
Once out of the packaging, our tippet material is further protected on the river with a U.V. and water resistant band rather than a conventional tender that will hold moisture.
Have you ever run out of tippet material at the worst possible moment and wished that there had been more than 25 or 30 meters on a spool? Wasted time trying to pick the right size tippet out of a cluster of indiscernible spools? Wished for something stronger than 7X but not as thick as 6X? We have addressed these problems as well.
Hold a spool of TroutHunter 6.5X nylon or fluoro in your hand. Notice how comfortable it is to handle. Rest it over your thumb and you can actually tie knots while enjoying an advantage that we have over non primates. You can see through the spool and gauge how much material is left on it. Each diameter’s tender is a distinct color for easy identification. Even the spools for nylon and fluoro are different colors for those of us who carry both.
Perhaps we did inadvertently reinvent the wheel…
