A unique and special collection from one of the most talented and respected artists, Garrison Doctor, will be assembled for viewing at our Trouts Denver location on September 10, 2021. Garrison, Co-Founder & Designer of RepYourWater, is well known inside and outside the fly fishing community for his amazingly detailed prints and photography. We are honored and excited to host an art exhibition showcasing Garrison and his selection of favorite pieces. If you have ever wanted to purchase a Garrison Doctor original piece now is your time to do so! All pieces are original artwork done by Garrison Doctor, none are prints.
Artist's Statement:I strive to communicate light and life in my work. I want whatever I am drawing to look alive, to have a glint in its eye. These pieces encompass two series on two different mediums: - The full color pastel pieces celebrate color, for these I chose simple "profile" fish arrangements that let the patterns and colors of the fish star. - For the black and white, pen and ink pieces, I wanted the technique to show through. I love the simplicity of pen strokes in two colors. For this series I mixed in some more dynamic "poses", but let the clean, graphic quality of the pen and ink technique pop.
