Trouts own Ivan Orsic is back to talk about the current river and fishing conditions throughout Colorado.
As you can tell by the pile of snow in the bed of Ivan's truck, it's still winter. But, we're only one month away from March. Changes are on the horizon.
While March is only a month away, it's definitely still winter. As such, midges, tiny blue-winged olives, and attractor flies continue to be our go-to flies on both freestones and tailwaters alike.
Small caddis and stonefly nymphs will also yield fish on our favorite freestones. Hold out hope for those afternoon midge dry fly hatches on sunny, warm and windless winter days.
