Hey, it's 2020 and it's still winter. Which means nothing much has changed. For the foreseeable future, we're in the meat of winter fishing. We'll start to see some more noticeable changes towards the end of February, but for now, it's small bugs and small tippet season. As always, Midges, BWOs, and attractors like eggs, worms, and stoneflies will get the job done during the winter.
With midges serving as the most common fare on both tailwaters and freestones alike, pay attention to your drift and depth. Adjust those and the patterns should matter less.
