Colorado River Winter Float Through the Camera Lens

Ivan Orsic / Jan 5, 2017

Author Chris Fildes, Trouts Frisco Regional Store Manager

Zeke Hersh, Regional Guide Manager for Trouts Frisco and myself spent Tuesday morning exchanging texts debating whether or not to get the hard boat out for our first float of the 2017. We looked at the live feed cameras along the Colorado River for a little advice. One of the camera angles of the Glenwood Kayak Park was completely blacked out due to snow that morning, which during the decision making process is not helpful in any way! After the morning debate, we finally decided that we are going to suck it up and drive down to float the Colorado River from Newcastle to Silt. It ended up being a gorgeous day and the fishing was spectacular! Check out a few of our shots from the day.
