Each week we choose one report from our Guide Reports section of the FISHING INFORMATION page! Click the Guide Report dropdown and you'll find up-to-date Guide Reports from our professional fly fishing guides. Each report will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging.
Check out this recent report from Mike Tolerton. Mike's report covers a recent trip to a new addition to our collection of permitted waters - The Arkansas River below Pueblo Reservoir. We're also excited to add Pueblo Reservoir to the list of waters we guide on, as well! Stay tuned to our Guide Reports section for more reports as we continue to get clients out on the water.
LOCATION: Arkansas River - Tailwater
GUIDE: Mike Tolerton
LENGTH OF TRIP: Full-Day Walk/Wade Trip
"We’re right on the cusp of spring fishing on the Arkansas tailwater. Fish are still grouped up in that classic winter water for the most part so where you find one expect to turn a few more. As water temps rise over the coming weeks those fish will start spreading out. Definitely signs of rainbows getting ready for the spawn so be mindful of redds. We stayed hooked up pretty consistently throughout the day, Mayer's Mini Leech in black was our top producer along with cream and red midge larvae in size 20 and mercury black beauty’s in a 22."
