We're proud to bring a new weekly feature to the blog this season. Every week, we'll bring you a guided trip report fresh off of the water from one of our professional Fly Fishing Guides. Each week, we will feature a report that will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging. For this week's feature, here's a report from Trouts Denver Guide Tucker Bamford.
LOCATION: South Platte below Deckers
GUIDE: Tucker Bamford
LENGTH OF TRIP: Half-Day Walk/Wade
"We fished Nighthawk until about 10 AM then moved up to Sugar Creek. Water clarity was very good in both spots. We had good action on nymphs but only saw one or two rises so we didn’t try any dries. We found some surprising fish at Nighthawk today including a few around 18”. Most of the fish ate worms with a few on other flies."
