We're proud to bring a new weekly feature to the blog this season. Every week, we'll bring you a guided trip report fresh off of the water from one of our professional Fly Fishing Guides. Each week, we will feature a report that will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging. For this week's feature, here's a report from Trouts Denver Guide Tucker Bamford.
LOCATION: South Platte at Deckers
GUIDE: Tucker Bamford
LENGTH OF TRIP: Full Day Walk/WadeTrip
"Decent day, not too crowded. We still got some fish on worms but an olive Leech was the best producer. The fish are changing locations a bit almost every day with the flows dropping steadily. We saw some caddis but not as thick as they have been, PMDs, and the usual thick midge hatches. Hopefully, that means Tricos are just around the corner."
Olive Pine Leech - size 16,
Brown worm - size 14
Pheasant Tail (Yellow Belly) - size 18
