Featured Trouts Guide Report of the Week - 8/4 Edition

Ivan Orsic / Aug 4, 2020

It's Tuesday, which means we're a day late on our Featured Trouts Guide Report of Week. But, better late than never. If you've spent time on our website over the past couple of months, you might have noticed that we've added a "Guide Reports" tab to the navigation bar. HERE you'll find up-to-date Guide Reports from our professional fly fishing guides. Each report will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging.

Check out this recent report from Brian Hilbert, Josh Diller, Sam Kinney, & Connor Chen. Stay tuned to our Guide Reports tab, as it will be updated on a very consistent basis as we continue to get clients out on the water.

LOCATION: Blue River - near Silverthorne
GUIDE:
Brian Hilbert, Josh Diller, Sam Kinney, & Connor Chen
LENGTH OF TRIP:
Full-Day Walk/Wade Trip

"Had a great time introducing women to the sport of fly fishing with our “Women are fly” event. We explored the Blue River in the afternoon after some classroom work right in Silverthorne. The fish were actively feeding on small midges and mysis shrimp. A size 22 white mercury midge and a size 20 Charlie’s Mysis produced several hook-ups and brought some nice Rainbows to the net. Fishing in town was very crowded but we were able to get into a good spot that has some active fish. Getting your weight right with light fluorocarbon tippet is essential. All in all a fun time!"
