Following our #optoutside River Cleanup at Deckers on Black Friday, Trouts will be reopening our doors Saturday, November 25th for the annual Small Business Saturday. We have to be honest though, that we don't really like what Small Business Saturday is becoming, with countless other shops making this day into a mini Black Friday. So for this year's Small Business Saturday, we wanted to carry the ethos and mission of "giving" from our @optoutside River Cleanup forward and do something that will ultimately benefit our local community. So this year we have teamed up with Warren Village of Denver to host the Inaugural Trouts Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the children of Warren Village. What is Warren Village you might ask? Well simple, "Warren Village helps low-income single parent families achieve personal and economic self-sufficiency—and to sustain it by being dedicated to improving their lives and creating a better future for their children and themselves". They are truly an amazing organization, and all of us at Trouts are incredibly excited to be able to help these children enjoy an amazing upcoming Holiday Season. Here are the details of the day:
What: a Toy Drive to benefit the children of Warren Village in Denver
When: Small Business Saturday, Saturday November 25th from 9am - 5pm
Details: this is a family-oriented event, so please feel free to bring the whole family!
For the Kids: every child in attendance get's one pull from the Trouts Grab Bag!
For the Adults: FREE Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar featuring Purus Vodka and from 9am - 12pm.
So let's get down to the nitty-gritty details of the inaugural Trouts Holiday Toy Drive! In true Trouts fashion, we want to be equally as bought in as our customers to any fundraising efforts we put forth. That's why we'll be offering a Broncos Prize Pack that will be raffled off at the end of Small Business Saturday. The Broncos Prize Pack includes: 2 tickets to the Broncos vs. Jets game on December 10, 2 Limited Edition Trouts' Home Team Corduroy Hats, and 1 Hatch Gen 2 5+ Broncos Reel. This is a prize pack that would make anyone's day, but it will be something special to that die-hard angler/Broncos fan. So how does one get entered to win? Easy, bring a NEW toy donation* by our Trouts Denver or Trouts Frisco locations on November 25th to be entered in the drawing. But wait, it gets better. While you're at either Trouts location, for every $50 you spend you'll get one additional entry into the drawing. We'll let you do the math here, but if there's been something that you or a friend/loved one/family member has been wanting, this may be an ideal time to pick it up (wink, wink). We do need to reiterate that all toy donations must be in NEW condition, otherwise, they will not be accepted by Warren Village.
