For the fourth straight year, Trouts Fly Fishing (both the Denver & Frisco locations) is following in the footsteps of our outdoor industry friends and will be closed for business on Black Friday - November 27th, 2020. Join us and spend Black Friday cleaning up your favorite fishery, instead of jockeying for position at your favorite big-box retailer.
Things will look a little different this year, but we're still excited to get out on the water and clean up two of our favorite local fisheries: the South Platte and the Blue River.
How will things look different you ask? Well, to start, it is 2020. So, we are bypassing the traditional group cleanup and fish shindig that we've come to know and love. We know, we'll miss cleaning up the river with all of you. But, that doesn't mean this year's #OptOutside cleanup won't be any less awesome! To bump up the awesome scale, we're making it a come one come all kind of party on Instagram!
On the weekend of Black Friday (Friday 11/27 through Sunday 11/29), get out on your favorite local fishery, collect trash, and post a picture of it on Instagram using the hashtag #TroutsOptOutside2020. The weirder the trash the better. Using that hashtag will enter you to win one of five killer prizes. No matter the fishery or location - you're eligible to win. That's right, whether you're the Front Range local or you follow us from afar, you can get out, do some good, and give yourself a chance to win something cool.
What are the prizes you ask? Well, we've got some cool things in the works with some of our favorite brands. Once we have those prize packs locked in, we'll announce it on the blog, so stay tuned!

Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the #TroutsOptOutside2020 Photo Contest. #TroutsOptOutside2020 Photo Contest will end on 11/29/2020 at 11:59 PM.
How to Enter: At the beginning of the Entry Period, you may enter the Instagram Sweepstakes by adding the hashtags #TroutsOptOutside2020 on a new Instagram post depicting the trash that you collected from your local river or lake. The use of an agency or any automated system to enter is strictly prohibited and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries received through such methods, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.
Drawing: After the Entry Period, on or about 12/2/2020, Trouts Fly Fishing will select 5 winners. The winner will be determined by the Trouts Fly Fishing team and will be judged based on quality, quantity, and uniqueness of your #TroutsOptOutside2020 instagram photo.
Notification and Requirements of Potential Winners and Prize: Sponsor will attempt to notify potential winner within five (5) business days of the drawing on Instagram. If a potential winner does not respond within seven (7) business days after the notice is sent, the Sponsor will select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at from all remaining entries received. Only one (1) alternate potential winner may be contacted.
