Photo Essay: Anonymous Fish

Ivan Orsic / Jul 14, 2017

Summer in Colorado is time for Big Dry Flies, Nameless Creeks and Solitude. There is no shortage of these places in Colorado, so if you find yourself wondering "Should I go fish that one creek or high alpine lake?" the answer should be yes. The rewards of putting in a little effort usually equates to eager to please wild trout. Earlier this week Trouts Frisco Manager Chris Fildes and myself made a trip out West to satisfy our fix. Here's how it went.

The menu consisted of Stimis, Hoppers, Chubbies and Amy's Ants

The Setting... Hooked up with the first Cutthroat of the day.

The Color of this Colorado Native more than makes up for my blinding white arms.

It didn't take more than 2 or 3 casts before Chris joined the party... Tough to beat these high country Brookies

Oh yeah... There were also these Wild Rainbows. Chris Showing off an absolute stunner!

Another Dry Fly Eating Brookie!

And another one...

Ok, one more...

Last one, for real this time!

Back to the Cutthroats... Chris introducing himself to a native!

Worth another look.... Chris getting ready to send this one back home.

Perfect 3 wt. water.... Putting the Winston Air and Hatch Finatic 2+ to work!

That's all folks... Bye now.
