We wanted to follow up after last week's blog about the voluntary closures on the Yampa and Eagle Rivers. Over the past week, the cooler weather in the high country brought the temperatures down to safe levels for fishing on both the Yampa River downstream of Chuck Lewis and the lower Eagle River. The Eagle River below Wolcott hasn't hit 65 degrees F in over a week. This is great news for anglers looking to fish some of our favorite fall fisheries. Get out there and enjoy the foliage on the river this weekend. It's nice to have these two Colorado gems back in the rotation!
