In these unprecedented times, Trouts Fly Fishing is committed to doing all we can to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff, per the guidance of health & safety professionals. In addition to personal hygiene and sanitization best practices recommended by the CDC and the Colorado Department of Health, we are also disinfecting all equipment used on our guided fly fishing trips, among other measures, to ensure our guided trip clients and guides are safe while on the water. More importantly, we are mandating that employees and guides are not allowed in our stores, or on guided trips if they are experiencing any symptoms of the flu or a cold. As such, we must ask all of our clients and customers to please take the same precautions when going on a trip or coming into one of our stores. If you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, please stay home. We firmly believe that community respect will be a helpful driver in getting the virus contained, and we see these steps as working towards that end goal. During the course of this week in Denver, we have seen school closures, professional sports seasons postponed, countless events canceled, and closures of museums and other public places; yes these are indeed unprecedented times. All of this change and uncertainty can be unnerving for some, and it can be hard to focus on moving forward with our daily lives when there is so much disruption to our societal routines. In 15 years as owner of Trouts Fly Fishing, I have learned that there is something truly unique and therapeutic about Fly Fishing during difficult times. That is why I want to remind all of our customers, friends, and family that while so much is still to come, the rivers across our country remain open, and are a very safe and rational place to spend your time. We are all searching for ways to keep ourselves grounded in reality and not let the uncertainty of these times overwhelm us, so I would encourage you to see what a day on the water can do for your mind, body, and soul.

We intend on remaining open for our normal business hours moving forward and all classes and guided trips are going on as scheduled. Out of an abundance of caution, we are going to be canceling all upcoming presentations and seminars but will be publishing them on our YouTube channel to ensure our customers can remain engaged even from afar. Lastly, the construction of our new location is progressing nicely, and we are very much looking forward to sharing this new experience with all of our customers. In the interim, we will be sure to keep all of our customers apprised of any changes as this situation unfolds, but for the time being, we are looking forward to the upcoming season and enjoying our free time on the water.
