It's less than six days away! The 14th Annual Denver Trout Unlimited's Carp Slam. For those not familiar with this event, it's an annual fly fishing tournament that pairs a Carp Pro with a Carp Slamateur with the goal of catching the most inches worth of carp over the course of a day. More importantly, the Slam is a DTU's premier fundraising event and funds raised by DTU help restore the health and habitat of the Denver South Platte River. Additionally, these funds help to support DTU's environmental education programs like Trout-in-the-Classroom and the Meet-the-River team building events.
The Carp Slam has been an instrumental part of the habitat and fishery improvements along our home river over the past decade. We're excited to continue our support of DTU and their now iconic carp fly fishing tournament. This year's tourney is on October 3rd, 2020 and we're excited to have three PROs participating this year including DEFENDING CARP SLAM champion Rick Mikesell, the Patriarch of Carp on the Fly - Barry Reynolds, and the man behind the circular saw's that built the new Trouts Denver location and our "Creative Director" - Scott Wells.
Please consider supporting Trouts' Pros and our Home River - The Denver South Platte by donating to Denver Trout Unlimited and Carp Slam 2020!
