We've been beating the Baetis drum here in the shop for the past couple of weeks and for good reason, they are active and hatching, especially along the South Platte. The hatch tends to be most prolific on cloudy afternoons. That leaves a lot of fishing to be done in the AM and while BWO nymphs have been putting fish in the net, we'd be foolish to overlook how productive a midge pattern like Pat Dorsey's Top Secret Midge can still be in early spring.
Trouts Guide Josh Diller dropped by the Trouts Frisco location on a snowy March day to throw this video together.
