Trouts Photo Essay: A trip to Cuttyville

Ivan Orsic / Oct 31, 2017

There is never a bad time for BACON! With overnight temps well below freezing, a warm, hearty, Coleman Stove breakfast, cooked on the frozen tailgate is a must.

The setting for the day... better known as Cuttyville.

Dry flies at 11,000 feet in October? Don't mind if I do.

Brookies! The other residents of Cuttyville.

Fall colors on Brookies are tough to beat.

Does it get any better than this? If you answered No, then you are correct.

Well worth the cold fingers

Gus protecting the paint, making sure nothing gets too close.

This will be the last picture of a cutthroat I promise....

Seriously, this is the last one...

Gus being a dog. Chances are he was up to no good.

As the day began to come to an end, we worked our way back towards camp. However, seeing a bunch of rising fish led to a quick detour.

Made it back to camp and got to enjoy this sunset. It's safe to say cold beer tasted pretty good that evening!
