For this month's episode of Five Flies, we're excited to welcome Umpqua Signature Fly Designer Landon Mayer into the fold. With flows dropping and prolific hatches occurring throughout the state, we're experiencing some truly fantastic fishing on freestones and tailwaters alike.

Expect to encounter Golden Stones, Tricos, Yellow Sallies, Drakes, PMDs, and Caddis if you're looking to hit the water on the front half of the month. While there are plenty of classic flies (i.e. Chubby Chernobyls, Stimulators, Elk Hair Caddis, Parachute Adams, Extended Body Drakes and PMDs) to choose from, we sat down with Landon to talk about his confidence flies for the month of August for both rivers and stillwaters.
