It appears that winter might actually be loosening it's firm grip on 2019 and summer might actually be here. Maybe. With the warmer temps, the stellar warmwater fisheries that dot the Front Range are starting to come into their prime! With that in mind, we focused this month's edition of Five Flies on bass! Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass can be found in many of the larger reservoirs, in the South Platte, and in many of the Front Range's neighborhood ponds. They are a powerful, acrobatic, and grabby species to chase on the fly. Trouts own Rick Mikesell dropped some knowledge with this month's selection of flies, how and when they should be fished.
