If you've been by the shop lately, or perhaps stopped by the Fly Fishing Show or Fly Fishing FIlm Tour, you may have seen us passing out a magazine you've never heard of. Something called The Current.
One of the greatest things about Trouts Fly Fishing is that we're never content to simply sit around and reflect on our accomplishments. It's safe to say as soon as we do something we consider a "success", we're immediately thinking about how to make it more of a success the next time.
Whether it be our constant search for new and exciting brands and products to offer our customers, or perhaps new and exciting places to fish, we're always on the hunt for more. Yet, surprisingly enough (at least to us) there are thousands of people - even in this very town- who have no clue we exist.
So with that in mind, we decided we wanted to tell our story to the masses. Enter The Current- otherwise known as our first attempt at a magazine. This isn't your typical catalogue. Not even close as a matter of fact. This is a story. OUR story. It's who we are. It's what we do. And lastly, it's what we're about. When we first started talking about creating this nearly 6 months ago, we were hoping to find a few others out there who believed in our vision. Flip through the first few pages of this publication and I think you'll quickly agree-- we've succeeded.
Aside from the generous participation from all the major house-hold name brands in this industry, you'll also find some fantastic content contribution from names such as John Geirach, Louis Cahill, Geoff Mueller and Tom Rosenbauer, just to name a few.
