#OptOutside this Black Friday and join us on November 25th, Black Friday, for our 6th Annual OptOutside River Cleanup. We're cleaning up the Denver South Platte right behind the Denver shop this year! Both Trouts Denver and Trouts Frisco will be closed for the day and all team members will be present to clean up our home waters. Traditionally, we have chosen to clean up the Deckers area of the South Platte. However, with less and less trash collected every year (a good thing - to be sure!), we will be focusing our efforts on the areas of the Denver South Platte located near the Trouts Denver location.

Meet us at the Trouts Warehouse (2550 W Barberry Place, Denver, CO 80204) at 9:30 AM, check in at the ORVIS tent, get yourself a trash bag and gloves, and assigned a beat to clean up. After a couple of hours of cleaning up the Denver South Platte, meet us back at Trouts Denver for some post-cleanup grub and beverages. A raffle will be held at the shop for all volunteers who participated in the clean-up, featuring prizes from our sponsors - Orvis, Umpqua, Rep Your Water, and Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.

In order to attend and make the check-in process as efficient as possible on the day of, we ask that you reserve your spot and sign the associated waivers for this year's cleanup.

IMPORTANT: Due to parking limitations at Trouts Denver, the check-in and event parking will be located directly across the river from the shop at Trouts Warehouse. Afterward, we will gather at the shop for food, beverages, and a raffle. We encourage everyone to carpool if possible. Additionally, the weather is always worth keeping an eye on in late November. Please dress appropriately, waders are encouraged.

FISHING: With a change of location this year, know that there are still plenty of opportunities to catch some fish along the South Platte in town. If you have not done so, or would like more information on fishing the DSP, shop members and our resident DSP expert, Rick Mikesell, will be available to answer any questions.
