Get ready for your trip to the salt!

I think we can all agree how fortunate we are to be living in the Centennial State. With over 300 days of sunshine and roughly 9000 miles of trout streams, seems odd that many of us are yearning for some salt in our fishing diet. For me, nothing stokes the fire more than the anticipation of an upcoming salt trip. Couple that with the opportunity to target your favorite quarry (Tarpon for me), we hope to maximize EVERY shot we can to hook those fish.

If you’re like me, you’re lucky if you can sneak away and get a trip or two in each year. You research the best destinations, best guides, best times, tides, moon phases, weather, the list goes on and on…what we don’t often do is spend the necessary amount of time practicing our cast. One thing is for sure; you can’t catch what you can’t present to. Anyone who’s been on the bow of a skiff has undoubtedly either trout set or was simply ill prepared to get the fly to its intended target. Trust me, we’ve all been there!

We’ve designed the perfect class for you! Trouts will be offering a salt-water prep school geared towards the saltwater angler. Our class is designed to provide you with the necessary skill set to make your presentation count. We will cover loop formation, line speed and double-hall and most importantly PRESENTATION!

Bring your favorite saltwater rod and reel and we’ll also have some extras.
