Interested in fishing the many productive stillwaters that dot Colorado's landscape this summer? Then make plans to be at our shop for Umpqua's own Josh Graffams "Introduction to Fly Fishing Stillwaters" presentation. Trust us, you won't want to miss this!
Stillwaters are often overlooked by fly anglers, but they are dynamic, insect-filled, trophy trout holding waters that can produce some of your most memorable days on the water whether from a boat or on foot. Stillwaters aren't just an escape from the high flows of runoff, they are prolific and fruitful choice for your next day on the water.
Josh Graffam has been a guide (New York, Wyoming & Montana), Activities Director at Brush Creek Ranch, competitive angler (He's on TEAM USA and was the 2013 National Champion), and is currently the Rocky Mountain Sales Manager at Umpqua. We say all of that...to say this...Josh is really good at fly fishing. With over 20 years of fly fishing industry experience and countless hours spent on moving and stillwaters, Josh is a vault of quality, fish catching information and he spends many a day on stillwaters chasing the trout that call them home.
Topics to be discussed: Fly Choice, Seasonality, Hatches, Boating and Fishing Information, Rigging, and much much more. There will also be plenty of time for Q&A!
