Day two of Two Day beginner school was a success. Typical weekend at Deckers in terms of the crowd but overall fished well and fish were happy and willing to eat. Baetis and midges are the meal of choice on the South Platte right now. We had a decent midge hatch in the morning and sporadic moments of thick blue wings throughout mid morning and early afternoon. Gusty winds definitely played a factor out there from time to time. Nymphing was the name of the game but fish were looking up periodically. Top flies were Split Back BWO (18), Chocolate Thunder (20), and WD40 (20) in brown.
