TRIP SUMMARY

Blue was on fire for us today! Although the weekend crowd was thick, the fish didn't seem to care. Nymphing was the name of the game. Adjust your depth and weight accordingly as you move around. Don't get stuck in one place-- cover ground and you will likely be rewarded. Leeches, small midges, and Rainbow Warrior's were the meal of choice. For midges try a size 20 Mercury Midge or 20 Top Secret. Bring your rain jacket! Classic Colorado afternoon rain storms rolled in and cleared out the river for us. The last two hours of the day, we had the river to ourselves and the fishing didn't slow down one bit!
