TRIP SUMMARY

Floated South Canyon to Silt today and fishing was good but not great. The stretch between New Castle and Silt definitely fished better. We tried streamer fishing early to no avail but found a lot of success nymphing the deeper runs. A size 20 rainbow warrior was our top fly. We also caught fish on size 14 Killer bugs and size 20 zebra midges. The fish came in bunches as we had periods of great action followed by stretches of no fish. Clients fished hard and were rewarded with some nice fish, including this 21.5” cutbow. All in all a beautiful fall day with pretty decent fishing. Good luck out there!
